While manning my booth at "A Weekend Affair" at Charmar (Athens, GA) I was able to cut many, many batik rectangles and squares for a class I'm teaching in February...there are probably 500 or 600 in this box.
Of course, I had to shop the other vendor booths (no one had to twist my arm), and I found this vintage Santa and Mrs. Claus salt & pepper set which was an exact duplicate of my Memere's set! FYI, "Memere" means "grandmother" in Canadian French.
I did some updating on my studio storage this week too. Sadly, I had to give up my beautiful This End Up hutch for a larger and more efficient storage unit. That hutch has been with us for fourteen years, but there's no other spot for it in this new house.
Good ol' Lowe's had this huge chrome storage shelf unit which gives me about 10 inches (25 cm) more walking space around my table, and much more storage.
