Shirley taught us a simple system for cutting out fabric letters to apply to quilts and other fiber art at yesterday's Quilting Arts Alliance meeting. Below is the banner she made for me last year...
Shirley fused added double-sided fusible to the 2 1/2 x 3 1/2" fabric first, then trimmed to round the edges of the rectangle. She then drew the letter on paper and the cut out the sections to make the letter. She used a small blanket around the edges after fusing.

Oh, that looks like fun and the banner is really cool!
So simple, but a perfect gift!
Looks fun. Maybe a demo for FAA?
Fusible I'm guessing?
I'm guessing a type of fusible too? Any tips would be great. I've decided to put initials on a quilt I've been working on for a couple of years now.
